Shadow of a bush on the wall.

On the first day of the final year of my Under Graduation, an invisible crown with the word 'Senior' embedded on it, decorated my head. I was on cloud nine to be acknowledged as a Senior.

When I was a fresher, I used to admire my seniors and their splendour. At that time, I had fantasized that I too would be an exemplary senior - a role model to my juniors.

'A role model'! - This word resonated in my mind at the commencement of my 'Senior' journey. I removed my crown for some time and lost myself in the thought of 'role models'.

Almost every one of us has a role model, an admirable personality, to look upon. We adore them and respect their journey. But, 'do we follow their ideologies and principles firmly?' Mostly the answer here is 'No'.

Another question popped up in my mind immediately, 'Is it necessary to follow others and their principles?' For this question too my answer is a big 'NO'.

All our lives are different and unique, packed with divergent lifestyles, environments and situations. In this reality, a way that helps somebody, may not be a suitable way for another person.

In a road where cars are lined up in one side, a man wearing a hoodie and a back bag rides in his bicycle freely.

In this vast world, let us live our lives moving in our own paths by crossing the hurdles in our way carefully. Let us take motivations, ideas and lessons from others too in our way. But, be sure to accept our unique life and live each day.

On the first day of the final year of my Under Graduation, I found my role and responsibility- a role model to no one, but to myself.
